Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
MopSuite is built to be private by design. The app runs 100% on your device: the files it scans, the results it shows and the actions it takes never leave your computer. This policy explains the limited data involved when you use the MopSuite app and this website. In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to the MopSuite team.
1. Data processed on your device only
Scanning your disk, finding duplicates, computing your health score and cleaning files all happen locally on your machine. MopSuite does not upload, transmit or collect the contents of your files, your file names, or the results of any scan. We cannot see any of it.
MopSuite does not access your Photos library, your Music/Apple Music library, your Contacts, Calendar, Camera, Microphone or Location. It only reads the ordinary files and caches in the folders you grant it access to, so it can show you what can safely be removed.
2. What we collect
- Nothing for the free features. No account is required and no analytics of your activity are sent to us.
- Mac App Store subscription (MopSuite Pro). If you subscribe inside the app on the Mac App Store, the purchase and billing are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple confirms your subscription status to the app on your device; we do not receive your name, email or card details.
- Direct subscription (bought on this website). If you buy MopSuite Pro directly from mopsuite.com, the app sends an anonymous, randomly generated install identifier to our subscription provider (RevenueCat) to check entitlement status. This identifier is not linked to your name or the contents of your device.
- Payments (direct purchases only). For purchases on this website, checkout is handled by RevenueCat and Stripe, who process the personal and payment information you enter (such as your email and card details) to complete and manage the transaction. We never receive or store your card details.
3. Third-party providers
- Apple — purchase, billing and subscription management for the Mac App Store edition (under Apple's Privacy Policy).
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement checks for direct purchases.
- Stripe — payment processing for direct purchases.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy. This website may be served by our hosting provider, which may process standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the pages.
4. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The checkout provider may set cookies strictly necessary to process a direct payment.
5. Your rights
Because we hold almost no personal data, there is little to access, correct or delete on our side. For payment-related data, you may exercise your rights (such as access or deletion) by contacting us or the relevant payment provider. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the LGPD, GDPR, CCPA or similar laws.
6. Children
MopSuite is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new date.
